Cedar Lake Women's Volleyball Team Takes 1st
The playoff game for 2006 Hub Lakes Championship took place at Cedar Lake's home court. The match against Rock Ridge proved to be a great finale to a fantastic season. Rock Ridge was the only team to beat Cedar during regular play, and this occurred early in the season.
In the final match-up of the summer, Cedar won the first two games and Rock Ridge the next two, leaving the outcome for the final and fifth game. In that final game, Cedar came on strong and left the court victorious.
The team's core, seasonal players included Jolyn Veres, Captain, Tammy Baldwin, Ellen Nowicky, Barbara Warriner, Teri Palmer, Kaille Woodin, Debbe Woodin, Cori Eggert and Lynn Eggert. Strong support from substitute players Kristyn Meade, Bev Eggert and Kati Eggert, added to the excellent performance of the team. We extend special thanks to Karen Strother and Gabrielle Carmagnola, who played for us when ALL our regulars decided to go on vacation at the same time. Also, we appreciate the effort of our team coordinator, Leslie Veres, she made sure we had enough players at all times. Her phone calls ensured full participation and a successful season.
Leslie, along with Gay Raab where our FULL time fans who cheered us on all season and didn't miss a game. We are blessed to live in a great community where we get support from our neighbors. We had many different people attend our home matches to cheer us on, volunteer to keep score, or blow the whistle for serve, the team truly appreciates the support. The turn out for our playoff match was the best ever and I'm sure had an impact on the final outcome. Thank you to everyone who attended.

Men’s Volleyball
The volleyball team had a great season. We have a young team building for the future. The roster this year was Daniel and Chris Jackson, David, James, Mark and Paul Bound, David Emmons, Sean Ulversoy, Frank Cancelliere, Tyler Young, Jared Guyre and Sean Mackey.
