Men’s Shoes
On Friday, Aug. 25, Cedar Lake beat Rock Ridge Men's Horseshoe Team 7 to 5 in a 12- game match to capture third place in Hub Lakes. Meanwhile, White Meadow, which had lead the League in the second half of the summer and was in 1st Place was beaten by Indian Lake in the Championship Match in a single playoff game after the two teams were tied 6-6 games after regular play. Thus the standings at the end of the 2006 Season are: Indian, White Meadow and Cedar - 1-2-3. The Cedar team also outdrank the Rock Ridge team in the festivities following the games. We also outate them in pizzas, also. Now, the team is planning to completely redo the horseshoe pits, with new pitching platforms, new stakes, new backboards and new lighting - the last a long-sought addition to the dimly lit field of play. The team players are: John Forbes Tom Palmer, Gary Petrillo, Jim Prior, Phil Ulversoy and Ron Vogt. |
