Cedar Lake Ladies Auxiliary
The CLLA has a longstanding history since it's formalization in August 1946.
In fact, it's predecessor was the Woman's Club of Cedar Lake (to whom we are deeply indebted for our cherished Clubhouse) which was formed in 1928 and predated the Cedar Lake Community Club (1939) by 11 years. Lyde B. Walker was it's first president. They had been meeting for years at Mrs. Booth's house (14 CL West) and later at the Rambler Inn (also called Hummell's Store or Dance Hall at 22 Cedar Lake East.) Mrs. Wm. Green was VP, Mrs. Meinecke 2nd VP, Miss Carlotta Cole was Secretary, Mrs. E.W. Jacobs was assist sec., and Mrs. Fred C. Henn was treasurer. The women had card parties, food sales and bazzars and various entertainment each year to save money for the Clubhouse which was opened July 4, 1931:

In 1931 the Cedar Lake Woman's Club marched in the Denville parade marking the bicentennial of George Washington's birth. The ladies include: Mrs. Jacobi, Mrs. A Seldon Walker, Mrs. Curtis Colwell, Mrs. Rodgers, and Mrs. Jane Green.

In 1948 the CLLA had a Breakfast Club:

And Then there was the Bunny Club of 1963: (recognize Bev Eggert, top row left?)
